I use the same clear int. line I use for stripers and a black and white(or light grey) clouser. Buddy down in the gulf told me to tie a load of “skunks” for the trip and the specs ate em up.
Any of the normal color combos should work but try a few skunks and you might be suprised.
what is a “skunk”…?
Black and white clouser
One of my favorite trout flies is the olive/white clouser with a red throat on it. This is my go to when the water is colder. The trout have still been hitting top water so I would try a wiggle minnow or a popper too! Come see me at the shop and I can get you set up with some crease flies too!
