Anyone fish the Cape Romain area for Specks… Last few years Its been hit or miss for me. No constant numbers

Seems to be feast or famine there. Great area though.
Yeah we got pounded that day by a couple of storms. That one in the background got pretty gnarly, but your not fishing if there’s no drama. Been wanting to do some topwater in five fathoms unfortunately the weather always seems to change the game plan.
There’s Gotta be some pigs there just waiting to munch on all those shrimp.
I fish that area weekly. After a while I found the reds…big reds. Previous to that, all I was catching were trout!
Gulp Shrimp under popping corks produced nice trout. I hit a bunch of different areas/structure over the course of the summer and finally started to have a lot of success. They should really be turning on about now
