I need some help catching some specks OTF, I have a bayboat and have been doing decent on the spinning rods but really want to get dialed on the trout OTF. I know you can hammer them on top waterearly in the morning, but I usually can only fish after work?. Any tricks of the trade would be great I have been useing clousers, which I think are the fly of choice but need some help on presentation should I strip fast, dead-drift, deep, shallow… ? Any tips would be appreciated!!

You should be able to do pretty well with the topwater in low light - it’s great during the early morning, but should be good as the sun goes down, too.
You can also try using live bait (shrimp or minnows) to locate some fish. Normally trout hang out in schools, so where you catch one, you will likely catch another. Locate with the live bait, then switch over to a fly that imitates the bait you were using (clousers, shrimp patterns, etc.).

Like FishinFrenzy said live bait OR if no live bait try trolling a creek with a mepps or another good trout lure…if you catch one there should be more around.

Mine is friendly as all get out but when in the boat she will let a stranger know the boat is “currently manned to her limits”. 
Leave a few in the water down there for me.

Intermediate line is pretty much all I use for trout because usually I’m throwing into deep creek mouths and it helps get the fly down in current. I tie patterns based off of my favorite grub colors in the clouser form. In terms of presentation I like to change it up until I find something that works. Its Just like throwing grubs change the amount of time you let it sink, the rate which you strip, etc… Hope this helps.
