Speechless!!!

A special friend of mine took me hunting today. I killed, by far, the biggest buck I have ever killed or even seen in person. He weighed in at exactly 200lbs, and he green scored just shy of 140 BC with 10.5" G2’s, 5.5" bases, and 20" wide. This pretty much officially ends my deer season because I seriously doubt I will top this, this year, and I might not ever again. I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity, and I am humbled. This was the most awesome hunt I have ever seen or dreamed about.

I got in the stand at 17:36. The feeder was timed to go off at 18:00. When I sat down, there was one little doe and about 18 huge gobblers in the field. The doe fed across the field in front of me and to my left. At 17:58, 7 does came running into the field just off to my right. 2 minutes later, three more does came into the field with a nice 8 point in tow. Right after the 8 point walked out, a huge buck, but younger buck, walked out. He was a 12 or 13 point. I was told not to shoot that deer. So, I that buck walked on in. At 18:10 here comes three more does running out of the bushes with a 4 point behind them, but I could huge antlers behind him in the woods through my binos. I knew instantly, this was the buck I could shoot. He walked up the the feeder at a normal gate. It probably took him 60 seconds, but it felt like 2 seconds. I was busy trying to get the rifle ready to make the 152 yard shot. I got half way steady, and I looked at the floor for about 45 seconds talking to myself because I was shaking like a leaf on a tree. I have never in my life seen a buck this big in front of me. The buck was on the opposite side of the feeder facing straight on. He finally turned quartering to me, and I let the 300 Win Mag eat. It picked him up in the air and slammed him on his back. He jumped up, ran to my left in a semicircle, and fell down again. Then, he got up again and trotted toward cover to my right. He made it about 10 yards of the edge of the field, and I watched him fall over. Wow!!! I’m still awestruck!!! Here he

Man that is nice!! Buck of a lifetime for anyone in the lowcountry. 194 is my biggest buck weight.

Looks like you lost your composure with that huge grin!

I was in bad shape and talking to myself before I shot him. I was worse going over to put my hands on him. I was a train wreck. Wow!!! Dream come true for me.
