Does anyone have a thought on my situation:
2 years ago I got stuck in the Shem Creek pluff mud and the speedometer quit working. Last year, I took the boat out in 48 degree water and it started working. Same thing yesterday. Most of the time it does not work.
Any thoughts?? I’m thinking its not an electrical issue…

If this is just a standard spedo it has a pitot tube coming either through your foot, or a spedo pick up. more than likeley it is just clogged. sometimes compressed air will cure this, on other occasions you will have to drill out the debris. the pitot pick up will be located on the front of your foot. The spedo works off water pressure the only electrical part of this gauge is for back lights.
