I have 2000 Johnson 250 hp with a Pro Tech 16.25" - 17P stainless prop on 26’ CC Sea pro.
I’ve spun two props ( same prop but re-hubed )in two trips out. First time it spun at the same time the lower unit crashed - second time it spun at below WOT…
Any ideas what’s going on.? It pees strong. Could it be the exhaust temps too high due to t-stats or pressure relief ( poppet ) valve…?

Your props/hubs are the problem, heat is not.

switch the a Merc prop with the replaceable hard plastic hub and hub kit to fit your Johnrude, if you get teh right prop, you’ll probably pick up alittle performance over what you have
