Spinning reels for around $100

Can anybody give me any suggestions for good spinning reels for bigger sharks and reds that won’t cost an arm and a leg??

Penn Battle in the 6000-8000 model. They run around $109.99-$119.00 at Haddrells.

I just bought a Shimano Socorro 8000 for $70.00. I used it once so far and liked the preformance of it. I have the Shimano Spheros 8000 and when used in comparison they are pretty close. Not sure about durability of it but I never have issues with Shimano’s products.

Thanks, I appreciate the suggestions

The penn battle is a good reel as longbearded posted…slightly over a hundo

*Diawa BG 60 is my chart topper for the application.

This is seriously the Remington .870 of reels.

Fish are too valuable to be caught only once.

Bass Pro had the Pfleuger President combo for around $100 last month. Heavy and smooth.

Wahoo 1750 Offshore Johnson 100GT. “Spurs Up”

My husband has a Pfleuger Infusion combo that he loves! He actually went and bought a second combo after using his first one almost to death.

I love the Abu Garcia Cardinal, but don’t know how easy it is to find. They stopped making the 800 series which is what I use.
