Don’t know if anyone has recently ordered a Sportsman but it appears they are having supplier issues. I placed my order in late December and was told 6-8 weeks for delivery. We are now 3 days into week 12 and still no boat and no ETA for the new boat. Their excuse is they are out of windshields.
I ordered in December to get ahead of the orders that would potentially go in with the January boat show. I was told that if I waited until January to place the order it would be 16 weeks for delivery. Looks like it will be almost 16 anyway.
It’s not jus them. A lot of manufacturers are having this issue. It started last July believe it or not.

If there supply issue started July then that makes them look even worse. Why would a reputable company commit to a production schedule that they know they can’t meet.

I know that Yamaha is having issues supplying motors, not sure of the HP’s but the 300 is one of them.

And here I have a Pioneer 222SF with the hard to find Yamaha F300 rigged and ready for fishing for sale. Buy it, back it down the ramp and go, doesn’t even need gas. And it has a windshield.

Just as an update to yesterdays post. Yesterday morning, Sportsman had no windshields… Late yesterday afternoon, my boat miraculously showed up on the dealer’s lot. I don’t know if my social media campaign had anything at all to do with this but it is peculiar at the very least. I didn’t realize the Charleston Fishing forum had that much clout. Good job.

But, does it have a windshield? 
Yep. It had the windshield but was missing one cushion and the prop.

Thanks for the offer BP but the dealer has some rigging yet to do so he is trying the get the one that should have been with the motor to begin with. Hopefully I will be running with the wind in my hair by the middle of next week. Fingers crossed.
