Anyone seen or heard if the Spots made it in yet?

Haven’t heard, but there are some Pompano around the beaches. Small pieces of shelled shrimp or sand fleas… if you can find them. Since all the beach renourishment they(sand fleas) are hard to find … imo.

how far into the harbor do the spots typically come during the run?

In the past, I have seen the “fleet” anchored up in the harbor just off Sullivans Island catching them.

I’ve never targeted them but a few years ago I always knew when the banks going to Kiawah were lined with people fishing for them. From what I saw most fished with a small piece of pink earth worm. Haven’t been that way in a bit and not sure if people still fish there, but no boat is needed and I’ve saw a few nice catches brought out.
