Spray foam - slow rise formula......

I want to turn the two large storage compartments in the bow of my boat ( Sea Pro 255C ) into insulated coolers.

I’m thinking I can put a few access holes in and spray the slow rise foam in - one layer after another - then frame-in the underside of the lids and spray them. The foam has an R value of 6-7 per inch. That would make two nice insulated fish coolers.

Has anyone tried this stuff or is there another product that works for this project…?

Looks like that foam should work. I’m not at boatbuilder but…

It is polyurethane foam, so that’s good. It’s closed cell foam, so that’s good too. And it’s even USCG approved so, that’s good as it gets. Good luck with the project.
