When fishing from a cent counsel boat like a contender. How many of yall run either spreader bars or daisy chains? Any picks of what yall run would be cool. Just trying different stuff. Fish a buddies boat he is queer for running wire leaders. Yall think this effects the fishing much for dolphin and what not? Thanks
Go to Atlantic and get a dredge. They have them Pre-Riged. Used to run one behind a 28CC all day. Great green back attractors.
I run squid daisy chains (green and pink) off the end of my outriggers and bowling-pin teasers off my transom cleat. If you have a good crew then run a dredge off a downrigger. Make sure if running teasers through your outriggers, the teaser reel drags are set light.

We have been running a small dredge off the downrigger for a couple of seasons and it really seems to make a difference and it was a homemade one using plastic squid. Upgraded to a collapseable Tournament Cable dredge for this year. Also pull a daisy chain off a short outrigger on the opposite side on a 33 CC.

Does anyone run umbrella rigs? I bought a few plastic ballyhoo from Ollies in North Charleston and a larger umbrella rig from Bass Pro Shops that I will try this year. Any input???

I got on of the small flying fish daisy chains last year and it will get 3 times the bites the squid chain on the other side will get
My boat is only 19’ but when trolling in blue water ( not often around here, mostly limited to a 2 week pilgrimage to the Keys every year) But even on that small of a boat I pull a homemade weighted spreader bar with 36 plastic squid down the center, a Boone bird daisy chain tied to one stern cleat and a bowling pin type teaser tied to the other. The bird (flying fish) chain seems to raise the most fish.
Usually just my wife and I so it’s quite a fire drill when we get a hookup
I would get rid of those wire leaders if the target is dolphin. Yes, it effects the strikes.

Who makes that daisy chain?
It’s a Boone 5 bird daisy chain. I got it in green. Got it from the bass pro in MB. We fish on a small boat too so we run it in the shotgun position on a rod and add our ballyhoo rig to the end of it. We run a dredge on a down rigger and a spreader bar off the other corner.
I pull a fender teaser and bowling pin teasers from the transom and have a squid daisy chain and spreader bar running from inside of my short riggers. if I could only have one of the four it would be the bowling pin teasers. On the wire… I almost always have one wire rig out and I have not noticed anything shying away from it… especially dolphin. billfish and tuna, now that’s a different story.

What flying fish chain are you pulling?
A Boone 5 bird chain. The birds are only like 3-4 inches long. Got it from bass pro in myrtle beach
Ive been to a few spreader bars but nothing beats the daisy chain I saw at a sorority house in '93.
