Just putting this out there to see if there is enought interest to put something together before it gets too awful hot.
Looking at Saturday May 31 with a weigh in and cook out about noon on Spence Island. I would set up the grill and all and camp out the night before to get the 'beachy" area on the dam side so kids can swim.
Pretty much what we have done in the past. Cost $10-$15 per person with a few $ of that going toward food. Kids 15 and under free. One fish/person weigh in paying 1st and 2nd biggest fish. Kids seperate 1st and 2nd.
Will get more specific details as it gets closer if there is enough interest.
I’m pretty sure that I’m in. My back is doing much better & I should be back to work by then, as long as something else doesn’t screw it up.
I had an allergic reaction to my blood pressure medicine Sunday night/Monday morning. I’ve been taking it for 12 yrs. My lips, tongue, and jaws swelled up like balloons:frowning_face:. Spent most of yesterday at Urgent Care, my doctor, & the ER. I finally got home at 8:00 pm. I wish I would have taken pictures, but my old lady wife was so freaked out, I didn’t get the chance. Much better today.

Count the two of us in, Tim. Your events are always a lot of fun, and with the ability to use bait this time, we might even have something to weight in. Let us know if we need to provide anything for the picnic.
Bait sounds good to me. I’ve just about got my Lund set up. I bought some Scotty’s rod holders yesterday & got them mounted. Just a couple of minor things left and I’m ready for a test flight. I’m itching to get on the lake! Too bad we’re going to have crappy weather for the next few days. I might go out Sunday, if I can get permission from the boss wife.
I’m going to the Rosewood Crawfish Festival on Saturday. Anyone else going to be there?
Thanks for all of your thoughts & concerns about my health issues. It’s been a weird year so far. Like I’ve said before, “It’s hell getting old.” But I aint dead yet.
Tom Gitto, I’m looking forward to seeing you too. It has been a long time.
