Get out there early, that water will get too high mighty fast. Good luck!
Im making an attempt tomorrow too its going to flood in hopefully I can get a couple shots. Good luck.
If a man wakes up early to go fishing he 's sleep deprived, If a man wakes up late to go fishing he’s fish deprived
It’s going to be real high and pretty darn windy out of the NE. That 7 ft tide is going to hit 7.5. Prediction is you won’t see a bit of grass at about 11:30am. The castle in the harbor will be flooded, and a nice 150k boat will run full throttle into the island. Yankees will be running full bore through the “rain” puddles formed downtown and will later blame the undercarriage corrosion on road salt.
Windy was an understatement. Went out Sat. and saw about 10 fish only managed a throw at 2. The tide was coming in to quickly and they were passing me by & never found where they went the flat where I was is about a mile wide.
Did manage this one. Bad pic holding fish in the right and using camera with the left.
Also, managed this one after mowing. Used a 5w…not much of a fight yet. These are transplanted from early spring. These guys have tripled in size since I threw them in.
Nice job ssflound I like the picture something different. Yes I will agree the water levels were alittle extreme and the wind was terrible. Hope this wind will lay down and allow some fishing time.

Tried the Broad River saturday morning. It was a complete blowout. I’d be willing to bet you were the only person in three counties to catch a red on the fly Saturday. Congrats!
