Took my 7 year old #1 Squirrel Girl back in the woods this morning knowing that the winds were going to be picking up mid morning…25 were seen and 2 that my daughter granted me permission to drop the hammer on did another well executed high dive! She is still learning how to spot these grey creatures of the hardwoods but every trip she gets better at spotting them, reacting to getting the gun up, just got to find 'em in the crosshairs a little faster before they take refuge in the safety of the hardwoods and she soon will be telling stories of how she was a crackerjack shot to all of her little friends. Patience is what we are mostly trying to understand while together and it is getting stronger each trip. Good news is she can outperform the best retrievers at the SEWE. Jam up that girl is!!!
