Sri Lanka- 1 spot available (Feb. 2015)

Due to a few cancellations I am offering 1 spot to Sri Lanka for 6 days of fishing. The dates are February 18-25 and you will need 2 days on either side for travel. I can forward specific details to those interested but to say it will be an adventure is an understatement. We have 3 experienced anglers on board and could handle anyone from a newbie to a pro. This will be jig/pop only with the exception of dropping a little tuna down for a big dogtooth tuna if you so desire.

All in country transfers, lodging, food and fishing on a 31’ center console are included. This is a professional charter operation, not local panga’s. Air conditioning and all your normal creature comforts are to be expected. Airfare is not include and is running from under $1000 round trip here in the US. Could be a bit more from one of the smaller local airports. The visa process is an easy online application.

Total fishing costs are $3500 USD. 50% deposit to hold the spot and the other 50% by December 15. This entire trip of a lifetime will cost under $5000 unless you need tackle which is NOT provided but can be arranged for a fee.

This is what we are hunting(taken at this operation).

If someone were to have an extra spot like this to Central America this winter I would be all over it.

I will be running a trip to Panama this winter for a group of 8 likely. Trip with airfare will be around $3500 total. I’ll be sure to post up.

Courtland who are you fishing with in Panama? I have a good friend in the Gulf of Chiriqui who runs a top notch lodge, Shane Jarvis. I’ve fished at Chad Marquis’ place too but enjoy the atmosphere at Shane’s a little better. Panama is the bomb for sure.

I haven’t decided where I am going yet. There are quite a few options and both Shane and Chad run nice operations.

As I said, I already have my group but I always get people that say, “I wish I knew, I would have gone”. So I am offering to facilitate that ahead of time.

Gotcha. Hit Shane up, shane@fishpanamatoday.com, he’s such a hard worker and the personal attention he gives is worth it, not to mention he can catch flat out fish. He will tell you the best time to plan on going too, based on when the tuna show up and when they are on the chew. I’m going down in June for a couple of weeks and it can’t come quick enough. Keep us posted on the trip and hope yall catchem up.
