Anyone know the water clarity out in the sound?

Went Saturday, we have caught 11 coolers out of 15 trips this year. Set the poles and baited first & last poles. Threw 20 times and caught 12 shrimp. Pulled the poles and went to the mouth of the cheehaw to try to catch bait shrimp. Set four poles and ran them three times and caughht probably 400 shrimp that were smaller than I like to fish with. They were there by the thousands. Caught 58 trout and 23 spot tail, kept four spot tail and 2 trout. If the shrimp spawned early like the article in the paper said a few weeks ago, why are there so many tiny shrimp?
