st. kitts 1.31.16

finally went to see a friend who moved down there two years ago. he’s working on houses in the Christophe harbor development, and hooked me up with a couple other local Charleston guys working down there too.

Sunday morning 7:00 am leaving port, 14 miles to lines in…

some scenery, fort at top of hill is at 700’. built in late 1600’s. my buddy took off Friday and he took me on the island tour. different perspective when you see it from the water.

the volcano in the back ground is Eustatius, and that’s the channel we fished in.

fishing was slow, and this was the only hoo in the box.

thank you Capt. Newell and Team “Bottoms Up”. (me with the tail)

thanks for report

Glad you got to go!!!

Keeping my eyes and ears open…and trying to learn.

Is that Capt Newell Shanken? He used to live in Charleston, but I haven’t seen him in a long time. I guess St Kitts isn’t a bad place to be!

yes, the very same. the other character in red shorts is Russell Fortenberry, also from Charleston.

except for the scenery, it was like fishing with my regular crew members on Prowess.

However, I’m ready to go back…

You wouldn’t happen to have his contact info would you? Email would be fine if you have it…

Thanks

Seeing that “character” reminds me of the old B&H days on kiawah and Dr. Gregory’s place.
