Happy St. Patty’s to everyone. I hit the stream this morning at about 7am till 11am. I took the day off of work b/c St. Patricks Day should be a national holiday. Here are some pictures and a video. I caught a total of 7 rainbows.
I WILL POST THE VIDEO ONCE IT FINISHES LOADING.
ITS BEER DRINKING TIME!
Not sure if the pictures worked the first time.
All I see are the dreaded “red x’s”
Great pictures…though they aren’t linked properly to the board. Were you up at one of those more famous spring fed streams in northern-ish VA?
Cheers,
Chris B.
Also if you’re around at the end of the month a bunch of us tidewater types are going to be hitting the SNP for some browns and brookies. Give me holler if you want to meet up.
Fishin Freenzy,
shoot me an email and let me know when ya’ll are coming up. I live in Charlottesville…I live 15 miles from SNP. I don’t know how well you guys know this area, but I moved here from Charleston 2 years ago. I fly fish almost every weekend and I know a lot of really productive water around here.

Last try…
My bad,
Chris B that reply was to you.

Hotsauce,
That is a great video. I go up to Pa every few weeks on business. I travel up on Tuesdays on I-81 and comeback on Wednesdays. Any chance you could take me fishing.
Shallowskiff
Yeah no problem…I do sales and I cover 1/2 of Virginia…so a lot of times I will leave my house really early and hit the stream before I start work…or when I’m coming home I hit a stream on the way home. Shoot me an email to rjmchugh@gmail.com and that comes to my phone. Try to give me a couple of days heads up and I can work around it. The video that you saw is from a stream that is about 10 miles off of I-81…it is awesome!!! Monster Rainbows lurk in the deep!
Here are some pictures of a couple of giants that have been caught in the past couple of months!

That’s a pretty famous hole you’re fishing there. Not to many people ever think to fish there (if its on the eastern side of the SNP that is…if it’s not then your holes twin is up near Sperryville, VA).
Sorry your guess is wrong. If you come up to VA send me an email and I’ll take you there. But it is about 40 miles West of SNP. This stream is on private property…the property owners have only aloud people to fish on their property the past 2 years. So unless you have been here very recent you probably wouldnt know this place.
