STABBED BY A PORPOISE - UDC - 8/6/19

We found a porpoise hung up in a crabtrap rope. We were trying to release it. I was using my filet knife to try and cut the rope when she hit my right hand with her tail and drive my knife through my left pinky finger. Don’t have any pictures, but we did get her cut loose.

Had a real successful fishing day with 48 Whiting, a nice Pompano and lots of large Croakers.

Sorry about the finger Capt. Steve. Glad you were about to free her.

Wow, Now that’s quite the release!

Good to read that you’re ok.

Great job saving the porpoise the fish stealers that they are!

No good deed goes unpunished

Keep it clean…lots of nasty stuff in the water and on the knife probably…thanks for doing a good thing and helping it get free

You being the fisher you are probably know this one. I used to keep a bottle of 50/50 Clorox to poor over cuts and also peroxide Like penny said lots of nasty stuff out there. Filet knife cuts always seem like the worst. Hope you recover quick.

im sure she didnt mean to do it on porpoise :sunglasses:
