And if you don’t scratch and ding or dent it while installing and testing he will let you return it over and over until you find the “sweet spot” in your pitch size. That service can’t be beaten if you ask me.

2 stroke or 4 stroke?
pretty sure there is no way a 70hp motor is going to be able to swing a 17 pitch on a 17 foot boat.

Just a little intel I noticed with my boat. I have a 17.6 seapro, with a 90 2 stroke Yamaha. I had a 17 pitch prop and I was only turning 4400 RPMs. I tried a buddies 15 pitch, and it was a dramatic difference. Ended up with a used 14 pitch Yamaha stainless and im turning the correct 5800rpms now. Needless to say, I have that 17 pitch for sale! Just make sure you are maximizing the WOT range with whatever new prop you do choose.

I wouldn’t want to run that 90 Yamaha 2 stoke 5800rpms.
