Hit the landing and was thrilled to see bait jumping all over. Filled the bait bucket with about 5 casts, nice MM and FM. Paddled down (I was in my yak) to a spot that was good to me a couple of weeks ago only to find a boat already there. I moved a few docks down, dropped a FM in and reached for something when the line started screaming off. I lost it when it wrapped a piling. Then for 30 minutes, nothing. I put two rods out (yep, I said I learned my lesson) I got a double hook-up and lost them both. I worked dock after dock with no more bites so at 2:00 I decided to head home skunked. As I paddled up to my old spot, I saw it was empty so I decided to give it 15 minutes, no more. I ended up catching two 24"ers and a nice 31" that dislodged my anchor and dragged me halfway down the creek. I hooked up this one on a real light combo so catching it was a real adventure. After that, no more bites. The sight of the day was a very attractive blond in a bikini on a boat fishing across the creek. Man, that’s not a sight you expect to see on Nov. 22. All in all, a good day and a beautiful day to be on the water.
Man I wanted to but I knew I couldn’t out run the guy’s boat if he caught me (I can only paddle so fast). She was pretty! As for the sleigh ride, I had not planned on it happening but somehow my anchor came loose. It was a hoot though.
You mention girl in bikini and I imediately stop reading and start scrolling only to find NO PIC OF GIRL IN BIKINI!!!..Dang it!!..Nice fish but I’m dissapointed!!!..lol…

Dang, cut a brother a break. It would have been just my luck the guy sees me snapping off a picture of his GF. I am in a yak, he is in a motor boat. I guess I could have paddled under a dock until he went away. I guess part of me was just pleasantly surprised at seeing such a sight in late November. The other part was just enjoying the view. I’ll try to do better next time.
