Station 9 Street Sullivan's Island

I’m looking for a boat ramp to launch my Jon Boat to put my in the ICW. Is the launch that I see on the map a free launch on station 9 street? Where else can I launch my Jon boat near the IWC where it’s free and not too busy?

Not to busy, I cant help you there but here is a list of boat landings…

Theres a mud/oysterbank ramp that juts out into the marsh on SI that I used all the time when I lived there. You can see it to the north side when you are crossing the bridge to the island. It can be tough to use at low tide, but it is free. I don’t know if it has a name. It’s probably what you are talking about, but I can’t remember which street it was.

That landings no good, I’d stay away.

Station 9, he’s talking about the fire dept. ramp. No, it’s not public.

This the ramp I speak of:

Yeah you have to pay annually to use that ramp.

call the sullivans island fire department
they are who manage the ramp
I believe its $200-$300 per year for non residents of the island

Benke-Lowe Boat Ramp, last I heard it was $250 a year for membership. Could not find a number or website.

Oops, sign says, Maintained by Sullivans Island Fire and Rescue.

It’s $250 per year for non residents of Sullivans. You go to the fire station and they issue you a key for the gate and decal for your truck.
