99 ox66 200hp fuel injected. Motor runs great and does not run hot. When idling has a small amount of steam coming from the exhaust ports on the back of the motor. The pee stream is strong and cool. Any ideas of what this could be. I have twinns and only one motor is doing this. Thats why im concerned. Motor has new thermastats and poppit valve. Also I let it idle for a while in the yard with the muffs on it and it did not do it. only does it while in the water.
only does it in the water because of back pressure on the thru prop exhaust
not sure why one is doing it and the other isn’t, but its not uncommon. for steam to come out of the hot exhaust
if you are concerned, get a laser thermometer and take the motors temp at all the cylinders and compare to the other motor
