Steering fluid?? Alternatives??

I can’t seem to find any of the sea star fluid without going to a marine store. I’m in Greenville and they are closed on Monday. Any suggestions? How about alternatives? I like to stick to OEM products but I’m not against using something else.

I’ve never used any thing but trans fluid in all my boats!

there is not a good alternative that the steering manufacturer will support.
any light weight hydraulic oil will make it function, but sea star uses a much higher quality product, the same as used in the aviation industry. it makes sure it has no moisture in it.

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING

Thanks chris.
What about the quicksilver and penzoil? They claim they are made for the marine industry.

Aircraft hydraulic fluid or any hydraulic fluid meeting mil spec H-5606-G.

I picked up 3 quarts for the price of one Sea Star fluid.

Where did you get that oil?

Small aircraft repair hanger on Hilton Head. Should be able find it at any aviation repair shop.
