I had to repair a broken hydraulic hose right at the cylinder connection. Quite a bit of fluid was lost but the hub will not accept a
drop. I’ve gone online but can’t locate a filler hose which screws onto
the hub. Baystar(mfg) site does not list one. Even before the current break, the hub would not accept fluid when I had some erratic “loose”
steering.Hoping a good bleeding will fix it but need the filler tube.
The boat is on a lift so I have to fix it or tow it.
Anyone have one I can rent or borrow. Anyone know where I can get one.
West Marine keeps them in stock and has the fluid too.
The Bay Star fluid is expensive!
I made a funnel with an old water bottle that screws onto the filler hose to fill it without having to poke a hole in the bottle like Bay Star recommends.

Second West Marine. I used an old 2 liter bottle with the bottom cut out to add more fluid without having to poke a hole in the Baystar fluid bottle.
It’s not an easy job to get it just right and get all the air bubbles out. Unless you feel 100% confident you can do it right, I would get a mechanic to pressure bleed the system. Steering is one place you don’t want to mess up.

Thanks, just picked one up. I tried there before but apparently my clerk was a newbie and we only looked next to the fluid, this tube was
next to the actual steering wheels.

I had problems with my steering a couple years back. I found an oil squirt can worked well for filling the hub.
