the collective intellect on this site can be impressive/ helpful

very loose steering, turn wheel several revolutions before motors (twin250) move…smooth but not responsive…thoughts ??

Check fluid, fill it up. Sounds like a pump issue. The pump is under the wheel.

i am assuming it’s hydraulic steering…

  1. bleed the system

  2. sometimes the valve (under the helm) can get sticky due to lack of use (and it will take a rotation or 2 of the wheel to get it to engage)… keep working the wheel back and forth until it frees up and there is no play anymore.
