Stern Saver Transducer Mount

Anyone heard of this or ever used one? Looks pretty slick for mounting transducers, etc. when you don’t want to drill into your gelcoat.

No, not trying to sell anything, just saw this on the web and thought I’d share.

I took a plastic cutting board from walmart $5 and cut it to size.Put waterproof silicone on one side and put 4 ss screws into the transom.Works perfect.

Stonoman

I put a piece of 1" thick UHMW on the transom of my boat.
5200 sealant between the plastic block and the transom and 2 Stainless Steel screws( countersunk ) to hold it in place then sealed over the screws with more 5200.
From now on, if I change tranducers the screws will only penetrate into the plastic and not the fiberglass.
