hit the Folly River/Creek area for a couple hours yesterday with stickman and crazy Jim…threw electric chicken and root beer grubs and trout tricks at them…low tide rising, water was a little stained, about 58* and the sky was mostly cloudy but bright…picked up 2 dink trout…being out in mid-Jan was really nice…thanks stickman, I didn’t get chit done by the time we got home…

I planned to head down yesterday but based on tides and reports decided to wait for more favorable conditions (I need no additional handicaps). It killed me to be at home with the weather as warm as it was. I need to get closer to the ocean. Glad you got out there.
Bite was slooooooooooooow today for us too. Caught a few nice reds. …but not like we have been. Got a bit breezy onus but calm late afternoon. Still can’t beat tshirts and shorts in mid january

tide was ripping, but other than that it was a perfect day for this time of year. i brought two rods and never used them- drove the boat around for hours, through fog, and past lots of fishermen and plenty of other folks enjoying the weather. picked a bucket of beautiful singles when the water was apparently all over on the japanese side of the world, then came home and didn’t accomplish chit either…

I was filled with great beef and beer. I’d say that is an accomplishment.
