Will the Honda 50 be satisfactory?
Any other issues?
I have a 97 BF50. Drain the carbs (if so equipped) every time. Blow out the pee indicator, it stops peeing very often but the water pump is working. I have over 3,000 hours on mine. It is a great motor.

Honda 50 will be fine
it wont win any races, but it should be fine for an inshore fishing boat
top end will be low 30’s
not sure about the wood or composite
