Stolen Boat Motors

This is from up here in Columbia, but figured I’d post it here in case anyone hears or sees anything fishy. I imagine they’re not even in SC any longer, but never know.

That’s pretty brazen…more than a dozen yamaha outboards? That’s a lot of work unless you really destroy them in the process of removal and insertion into a van with a dozen motors in it.

I’d like to see some pictures

In one of the thefts they hit the warehouse and got brand new motors too. I’m guessing another Florida crew that has visited our state. Can we start dropping these guys 50 miles offshore with a blown motor chained to them, after trial of course.

How do you fence a stolen boat motor? Who buys them? Seems like a risky business to be in.

I BELIEVE THEY END UP IN THE BAHAMAS OR SOUTH AMERICA

Like Chris says, they end up in a container and go south, to include Mexico also. Just think, they give us illegals in trade for our boats and equipment. I know big center consoles disappear regularly down in Florida. The cops are trying but the thieves have a pretty tight system running and they only get the low level guys.

Did you read the story about the invincible boat stole, the thief’s gave up after 20 hrs they had already lost the coast guard and police but couldn’t take what the boat could so they taped out after 20+hrs of 80mph pounding.

I remember that one, a really nice Conch 33 was just taken too. Apparently they tried to squeeze it out of a hole narrower than the beam.

I need a deal on twin 200’s…

SAFMC you suck!
