My 2004 J14 Carolina Skiff was stolen off of Harbor View Rd on James Island by the Harris Teeter while I had it up for sale. The motor was a tiller 2001 electric start 25hp yamaha. The decals are after market on the motor and will look very different from the ones you see on newer motors.
It will also have a circular metal disc mounted on the bow where I would normally have the trolling motor mounted. And there are also three square pieces of metal, one in the center of the bow and the other two on the bench seat where the removable seats would go.
There is also a generic white rod holder mounted to the inside that holds 4 rods and a single stainless steel flush mounting rod holder on the bow.
Finally there is a small console mounted to the side where the GPS/Depth finder would have gone. The unit won’t be there but the cables will.
If you see this boat around PLEASE call me (843-991-4587) or message me here or notify the police. I am currently out around $3k and may have to sell the boat I just bought now thanks to some ass hole!!!
Couple days ago I almost pulled over to take a picture of that boat. Thought I might know some in the market for that set up. That blows! How can someone get rid of that boat and motor? Hope everyone keeps an eye out.
Police aren’t always 100% reliable. I had a moped run out of gas in Mt P back in 04. Before I could fill a can and get back it was gone. Year and half later I got a call from MPPD they had it the whole time. Someone tried to claim it abandoned and wait out the period to claim it theirs. Police said there was a mix up with numbers and that’s why it took so long. I’d keep checking around. Post an old pic, it’d be hard to keep it hidden too long without someone on here spotting it.

If you post or pm me a pic then I’ll keep an eye out as well. That’s just absolute bs that someone would do that. I’ve had people steal off my boat but taking the whole thing is just a whole new level of bs.
Those Bastards!!! I remember looking at it and thinking what a killer little set up for a creek boat. Not to mention you said you go deep holing with it too.
Thanks Larry. Although skiffs are common, I see a few things that would make me notice it from a distance. If they even tried to change those things then it’d be enough time/effort and money that they could’ve bought their own boat. I was out today ( skunked) but saw no skiffs.
