Stolen Green/Camo Kayak - West Ashley

Hey guys, someone stole a green kayak out of my backyard a couple days ago and I’ve been waiting to see if it would turn up nearby. A police report has been filed with Charleston County so I hope that prevents it from being sold at a pawn shop. In the raid, they also took my neighbors jon boat (which turned up adrift in a creek nearby) and tried to steal a couple other things. My guess is that they were kids and just taking whatever they could carry. If anyone saw a couple kids walking with a jon boat and a green/camouflaged kayak in West Ashely over the last couple days, please give me a shout. Or if my yak has the same fate as the jon boat, its probably floating in one of the creeks nearby by Melrose area on 17 so keep an eye out for it on the water. I’ll try to get a picture up if I can find one.

Thanks penfishn, I finally got it back up on Craigslist and hope someone runs across it. I’ve been checking the pawn shops, but no luck yet. Getting my hands on the little bastards that took it would be better than finding the boat…

Hope you get your boat back! Seems like every week or so I see a posting on some of the racing forums I frequent that a car/trailer is stolen. Seems to be getting worse lately. I’m afraid to leave anything outside any more for fear that it won’t be there in the morning.
