My son had his trailer stolen from folly ramp this morning between 8 and 12 while he was oystering. It was a dual axle 24’ Aluminum with blue fenders. If you saw someone at folly ramp or on folly road with an empty trailer please let me know.

I worked at a few boat dealers back in the day and most of them have spare trailers for moving boats to and from the shop to get worked on. I would imagine I would try to borrow or rent one until the insurance man wrote me a check for a new one.

Darn. I drove by there at 0850 , 0900, 0950, 1000 and ( as I always do) checked the ramp lot to see how many boats out. There were only 5-6 trailers and so they stole ii in open view. Last boat I saw go in was a tall Carolina skiff- like boat with a tall center console and blue bottom paint. Didn’t see any suspicious activity that drew my eye on 4 passes.
Hopefully it gets recovered!
thats what I can’t believe… I am sure it is another commercial oysterman or crabber as the trailer is a carolina skiff trailer. I hope the police find them before Ryan does. I didn’t even concider that some low life scrappers grabbed it for the Aluminum…$2000 trailer for $75 in scrap.

Paul we fish up that way a good bit and there are a few big non commercial skiffs cruising about too. . What about the work going on there by the bridge. They have a lot of equipment …maybe check with them to see if they have any cameras mounted anywhere? Maybe even the yak building that is right beside the parking lot.or the condos across the water that have a dock beside the bridge…they might have a outside one too. Might be worth checking.

Unless, you have a tool box on your truck, who rides around with a set of bolt cutters with them. Unless, they are looking to steal something that might be locked up.Someone just doesn’t drive into a parking lot an says, look at that trailor, I’m gona steal it! They planned to steal one!

What was the, work it out part? Please, don’t call the cops on me! It was an accident, I thought it was mine? It just followed me home? Paul, he went shopping and found the exact trailor he wanted to steal. Send him to jail!
Knowing Paul he will have him locked up. After the guy goes before a judge and charges are filed Paul will go his bail and give the poor guy a ride home from jail. Trust me the guy will never forget the ride and will never think about stealing for the rest of his life.
