I agree. Haven’t had any in a while. I used to get them from the crabman on Maybank Highway.

i think at some point your just going to have to suck it up and start a photobucket album. andy has heard your pleas and they have fallen on deaf ears… without pics of steaming stone crab claws, drawn butter and adult beverages its just not the same… you know… no pop to it… please conform and join the masses of photobucket heads!
we took some pics last night too…
of the crab claws that is…
i like the way your thinkin…
I remember my mom getting stone crab claws from the bridge piling of the Fripp Island bridge when we lived on the bridge’s construction site back in the early 60’s. They were so good, I’ve never had them as good since.
I’d love just to have just one more as good as I remember them being back then.

i almost always bring some cash with me when i go in the boat. im sure you already know this but for those of you who dont… you can buy some fresh ones from just about any crabber you see on the water. just flag them down and they will be happy to sell you some if they have them.

Well that does it…I’ll be flagging down over crabber I see from now on hoping to get a good stone crab claw fix cured after some 45 years.
I have a mission now.

I didnt know that stone crabs were around here. What are the rules in harvesting them?
way back when in florida you could catch them but only take one claw and throw them back.
