My son did not have a great day fishing on Saturday, but he did score a good sized bag of claws. All consumed last night…got to be the single best thing that comes from the sea, althought tuna is a pretty close second, IMO.

Boil your water once its boiling put them in for 12 minutes then put them over ice. Oh did I mention put some crab boil or old bay in the pot.
I sent a charter home with an ice bag full of claws last week and they called me the next day wanting to know If I could get them some more. Those things are like a drug to some people

12 minutes might be a tad much, but each to his own…I steam them for around 6 minutes…you will see the white stuff oozing out of the joints and they are done.
Did another 15 pounds Saturday night along with 2 bushels of McClellanville clusters…Holy Cow.
