Not trying to hijack but is that the M-84 or M-121 - any chance you have radar integrated? I have the M-84 on my boat with the Radar and it Sucks! Have tried everything and am just not happy with the “New Northstar”! Just curious how you like your unit

M-121, for the price, the unit is great. I do have radar a w/out overlay. The processor is not fast enough for the map redraw with radar. I run split screen radar-GPS. I love the radar, crisp and clear.

Did you do the 2 or 4kw? I went with the 2kw and think I made a very expensive mistake!!! I am really having a hard time with even large targets.

I had some issues with clutter until I read the back of the manual on how to exactly set up the radar. Read the part about idling up to a sea wall or jetty and making certain adjustments at that point, I don’t remember the exact part but if you do it it should help. My reciept doesn’t show 4kw or 2kw. It says 17" high def. and cost $1199.

There will be frost, not fog on Sunday. Good luck w/ the radar.
