STONER 1-30-11 (Video Report)

Fish bit well all day. Got the box full with porgy, bsb, trigger and a snowy pretty shallow. Of course all the endangered species were let go.

Nice Video! Sounds like you figured out the wind noise problem.

Awesome!

“Thar She blows”

good video, looked kinda sportty out there… I heard something about a big red fish but need proof…

JPW

Not to bad on the video. You may want to think about a new career. Reggie may also need to take some dance lessons.

Ghetto Sled out

Nice video however I think that’s the most sea sick I’ve been in a long time! Did you weigh any of those snappers? You had some hogs there! That’s the first I’ve seen someone catching the grouper that far off the bottom…

Courtland, I rather enjoyed watching that video, but just a small pointer (aka “Pro Tip”) for you… I find those “spinning reels” much easier to use if you just hold them upside down and reel backwards… Be sure to give me credit when you pass that information onto your crew next time. Thanks!

watching this video makes me want to leave the jetties right now in my 17ft whaler… whose with me?

OOOOOOK…

Works in Cabo, PV, Hatteras, Florida, Cape Cod, PEI, Seychelles, New Zealand, etc…

just not at the GTH. Got it, thanks for the “pro tip”.

I’ve destroyed blackfin, amberjacks, wahoo, and grouper at the hole vertical jigging. You need an offshore angler red/chartruse/yellow/silver jig. Don’t get very many hits on any other brand/color.

Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.

We have been over this. Trolling is better at the GTH than you little egg beating setups.

Why don’t you bring one along this spring and I will show you what I am talking about.

Jigs definitely don’t work well if you don’t stop the boat or hold it in place. I should probably just come trolling with you, then you can come jig/pop with me. Then we’ll see who has more fun. And no, you can’t bring strippers on your boat to “liven” it up…

Strippers? I see how you work your hands and arms in those videos, lots of practice?

We will make a trip this spring, the ride is shorter, the reels scream louder, multiple hook ups are more exciting, and you won’t put any more calluses on your hands.

I must say, that is the one thing I like about trolling, you don’t have to do anything. The crew rigs baits, and hell if I’m gonna reel in a blackfin from 600 yds. back, so I just keep driving and tell the guys I’m trying to keep the spread straight. I don’t even need to shower after a day of trolling.

Your not going to make me touch one of those ballythingies if I fish with you, are you? Can we troll shibukis instead…
