Hit the nearshore reefs for some flounder- no luck, just BSB.
Hit 90’ for triggers and BSB- success.
Looked for haystacks and BFT- found one not the other. Maybe next time.

thanks stoner and all who post pics of the sounder, first time out I thought that was the gain too high but after reading the site I’ve learned how to zone in a bit. still learning…

These reports just aren’t the same without Grouper and Snapper. Without them there is no excitement or enthusiasm. I can’t wait until Dolphin season!!!

We caught legal gags and snapper too. No point in reporting or they may close things tighter because of the accidental bycatch. We only fished jigs and bucktails on light line, but they are still chewing.

One good thing that may come out of this is finding new techniques to catch them. May help out when season is back in but having a hard time to get them chewing. Thanks for the report Courtland… The pictures make the report and without monster gags and ars to get ur blood pumpin, they’re just not as exciting, all I’m saying here. And for sure don’t need to fuel anyones fire when it comes to this closure.

Didn’t really target them. Just whatever we got on jigs. They were there though. lots of bsb to get through, though.
