STONER(10-17)Donkey Day

Headed 90 degrees for 45 miles in the slop. The donkey’s were hungry unfortunately. Had fish all day, just had to weed through the burro’s. Saw some blackfin busting bait in 100’ thought we might get lucky with some light flouro and live cigars, but no go. Tons of bait and sabiki’d up the smallest b-liners(3-4") I’ve ever seen. Don’t know if all the bait we marked were them, but the fish we caught did not spit up the usual minnows, any divers ever see huge clouds of baby b-liners? Fished a few spots and came back with a decent catch. The donkeys wore us down after a while, but the rods were bent most of the day.

Totals:
4 ARS biggest over 30"
1 warsaw
1 black grouper 15#
box of triggers, b-liners, bsb and a decent grunt

On my last trip the AJ’s beat us down bad, but on Thursday there were enough Grouper and Snapper in the mix to not care. I took Baitkiller and a friend, Mr. Bill, we had a great time and ended up with 3 Gags(35"), 3 ARS(No huges), 2 Scamps, big Bliners, Trigers, Bsb, and released ALOT of under sized everything that were in good shape,… well, all bud a cuda bite or two. The bite was on all day.
Thanks for the info on 10/15, it was a little bumpy here and there.

nice work.
