STONER(12-26-08)

Hit the foggy waters, and it was thick all the way to 40 miles. PJ and On the Mark joined for the days adventures. The pinner spot produced again and we slow rolled the .15 miles to the ARS spot. Why the snapper just don’t swim over to the pinner spot, I just don’t know. The boat looked like this in literally 2 minutes.

The limit was full by 10:30. Considering we didn’t wet a line until 10:00, pretty quick stuff. Slid up about 7 miles and the sun and wind came out. Loaded the box with triggers and tried for a grouper bite to no avail. Moved again 1/2 mile and got 2 grouper(scamp and gag, both short). Looking for the big bite we headed NE another 15 miles. To no avail, the grouper weren’t having it. Rounded out the box with a few bsb, pinkies and a b-liner or two. Rolled in at 35 in the bumps, fog, rain and wind.

We ate better than ever today with venison meatball sandwiches and the WORLD FAMOUS crab dip while running up the river at 45mph to beat the dark. Thanks Chris.

good stuff. looks like the ocean was a different animal to the south. we had some serious cotton.

Good on you! The water looks a lot nicer than what I experinced when I turned the corner at South Beach. I turned around about two miles out and fished in-shore untill the No-See-Umns ran me off.

Courtland, were you in stealth mode? I heard someone calling for you a couple times on the radio, but never heard you answer. I also tried calling, but got no answer. I figured you didn’t want to give those G-5 classified numbers up again.

You know… It’s really not the fact that OTM fished with another team that makes him a traitor… It’s that he made crab dip that really stings the soul… Just kidding. Good going on your day!

Great day with Courtland and Paul. That snapper bite was fierce! We made a 30 yard drift twice to limit out. You will always eat good when OTM is on the boat. Sorry SJ but I had to make an impression with the crab dip. The pain will ease up soon. Thanks for the ride Courtland would love to do it again.
