Left the dock at 5 with PJ and On the Mark. 50 mullet in the livewell, the plan was to roll out to 100’, jig some more bait and continue on to 200’+. Made 30mph out to 100’ and jigged pinners, bluefish, and bank bass. That 1 fish per gallon rule was was seriously violated with nearly 150 baits in the livewell.
On the Mark with a four banger of pinners:
Phase one complete. Put the new MPA #'s in the machine(skull and crossbone) and see where I’m allowed to fish. I lost a few good ones it seems.
We head towards 200’ and the wind picks up about 10 miles from the spot. We drift a few spots and the grouper start coming over the rails. PJ got this nice Warsaw.
Got five or six more grouper then my ass started to hurt. A boat that had been trolling a mile south of us moved up and got no more than 100 yards from us. I bit my tongue for a bit, then I decided to move out of the area, 8 miles SW. Here they are, a 35’ Cabo named BIGFOOT, with $10,000 worth of gold trolling stuff in the back and to stupid to check the SST and see the break was 10 miles east. They got right in line and drifted along with us.
So we move down the line and start catching a bit more. On the Mark got his first snowy grouper and then out of nowhere comes BIGFOOT, again. They followed us again, for 8 miles!!! A 35’ CABO following my little boat around! I drive right at there beam and OTM questions my intentions. I assured him nothing bad would happen. We exchanged a few pleasentry’s and bailed some trash fish to top the box. Headed in at 40MPH until we hit the seabreeze about 10 miles off.
Total:
1 warsaw
2 snowies
2 ARS
4 or 5 scampers
triggers, red porgies, blah, blah,blah
With a little triangulation you can all steal my numbers from the pic I posted. Now when someone pulls up I can’t get mad, public knowledge now. Tear em’ up boys!

BRAINSTORM
If it’s e-mail I won’t see till Monday. You can PM me or if your forwarding something try this one cmbabcock@hargray.com, if you’d like me to see it today.
I think thats a Rampage…or maybe a big Tiara/Pursuit…?
As I said they were less than 100 yards away and when I was approaching ramming speed the second time I could clearly read the CABO. Plus that cutout on all Cabo’s is noticeable from a distance. You sound like maybe you know this guy?
Actually no…just remember seeing the boat at Bahia Bleu in Savannah, it was distinctive
because of the huge SAT antenna on top which I thought was kinda of odd looking, I just didn’t
recall it being a CABO is all…regardless, no excuse for what he did.

Go to the SAFMC website. There is a part for the MPA’s, click on it and the 8 or so MPA’s will come up by name. Click on each individual one and the coordinates will be at the bottom of the new page that is opened. A bit of a pain, they don’t make it easy to follow the rules.

Yea, Phin did this a few minutes ago.
He has the numbers for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested.
I will not get into a battle of wits with a man who is completely unarmed!
