STONER(3-7-09) Cornholed by BIGFOOT

Deltaonemate,

Let’s put the shoe on your foot. Say you’re the one on the spot and I role up on you. You feel crowded so you move 8 miles away and then I roll up on you again and start dropping on pretty much the same numbers. How would you feel? Honestly now…

If you say it doesn’t bother you then let me know when you’re going fishing again and I’ll follow you to every spot, and make it a point a drop beside you. Two sides to the story means nothing when you have a 38 ft Rampage that is capable of going anywhere you want in those seas and you follow a 23T Contender around. Maybe it was by convenience, but 8 miles!!! I know those numbers Courtland fishes and can tell you there are PLENTY of good spots in between.

The point is PEOPLE need to respect others. How many times have you been on the hook and had a boat ride by a few 100 ft when you see the captain hit enter, mark? If you’ve never seen this you obviously don’t fish offshore enough.

not that I was there, but did you (Kevin) try to call them on the radio at any point, seeing as you “knew them” .We yack all day long with our friends, and fish very close.

NMFS = No More Fishing Season

“Back home we got a taxidermy man. He gonna have a heart attack when he see what I brung him”

We recognized them when they approached us. We did not know the boat or the owner. It was only as they flipped us the bird and quickly drove away that my friend said, that’s a friend of mine on that boat.

Say what you will- but we did not drive 70 miles offshore to follow another boat around.
We did not loose our cool but Courtland certainly did.

Furthermore we should be making friends offshore. We should not be fearful of getting 150-200 yards from another boat. What if Mr Courtland had a problem offshore. Would be a nice time to have a 38 ft boat nearby.

“railing fish” thats soom cool lingo there dave.

I am really not into reading bigfoots sob response, but for 1 you were on as far away as 100 yds at the closest and you worked your way over and proceeded to get in our exact drift line. I do believe we hailed you on the radio as “Captain Douchbag” and at least 3 other times. If you did have a great day on your numbers where’s the pics? The last we saw “Captain Douchbag” was trying to land fish with a largemouth bass net. If we could see that you must have been really close. As for the offer of the beer- you all had your heads down in shame as we went by. I’ll catch up with this thread tomorrow. I see 5 pages.

On the mark:

Your words speak volumes to your intelligence. Is this how you really see it. Lets talk about it on the phone. I will get your number from my friend.

The phone is no good here. Fishing is slow right now. CF.com is all about the drama. Lets keep this out in the open for us all to enjoy.

I will not get into a battle of wits with a man who is completely unarmed!

This is good! You heard me on the radio, yet didn’t respond. Glad I wasn’t in trouble.

I got a call last night from an interested party, told me you were thinking of some legal action due to my comments about “concealed weapons”.

Next time, you call me on the radio!

Go’s like this: “hey little boat at the Deli, I’ve got some #'s in that area, mind if I slide over that way”

Little boat- “Not at all bro come on over”

I’ll be at the South ledge if you need me.

a little common courtesy goes a long way when it comes to fishing…

Where is the “shortest book” thread when you need it?

Courtland- I think you owe Riptide an apology since “you clearly read CABO on the boat and the cut outs of the cabo are clear from a distance”

When I am offshore, I often see the same boats many times at different places…doesn’t mean I am following them or vise-versa.
100 yards is not that close…especially when bottom fishing.
If I got upset every time someone came within 100-150 yards of my boat and I saw them behind me on more than one occasion, I’d spend my time fishing in a perpetually pissed-off state.

“Never argue with an idiot…he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.”

FWIW…According to NMFS and the CCA bottom fishing is a sin and anybody that engages in it deserves to be cornholed.

Also…you guys traveled 70 miles to fish within 100 yards of another boat?

Phin…do you still wonder why people on this site have trouble landing Grouper/Snapper with rod and reel?

200 yards is too close if someone is already on a spot. Fuq-n-a…have some pride people! If someone is working a peice of bottom, move on. Unless you are working a public wreck or something, there is no reason to get that close. It used to be an unwritten rule…

Polly Wanna…

The old ways have died Cracker you know that, this site is evidence of that. Everyone on hear strokes the people that post the most and spew the most.

I am already mentally preparing myself to have my long riggers run over come April.

Oh yeah: I would be pissed too, but probably would have avoided the running at them part.
