STONER 5-28-08(1/2 day nearshore)

Fished 1/2 day with Marsh Monkey. Fueled up @ 8 and rounded the beach. The pogies were thick out front and two throws yielded more bait than we needed. The seas were a bit angrier than I hoped. 2-3’ slop from the south with a swell out of the east made running a bit uncomfortable. Had no big plans so we went to some secret #‘s in close. Fished in 65’. Lots of life: hammerheads, tigers, a big ray, spades, etc… Lines out before 2.

Totals:( not bad for a few hours with 2 people)
6 ARS
2 Cobia(biggest easily bottomed out a 30#boga)
1 gag
a bunch of BSB’s and random stuff

Went to my other super secret #'s close by and got gagged a few times. Same spot I got a 20# two weeks ago. Couldn’t get the drift right and I can’t fish at anchor b/c of the bum leg. Maybe next time(which will be friday).

That’s a good nearshore day Courtland.

Nice work on the gag. We fished yesterday and couldn’t seem to put one in the boat.

Thanks 23. The gag was a baby, but a groupa none the less.

Nice job Courtland. You all full for Friday?

nf- closing up(my eyes that is)for the night . That mail is at my office. Will respond tomorrow.

CT - picked up some lead for you today. Felt guilty losing so much of your tackle to the GAGS and bottom! Good luck on Friday, looking forward to the report.

Well, it’s about time you pitched in!!

Headed out with Courtland tomorrow morning to some not so secret numbers (Thanks Chris).

Next trip out is on my boat though. All we need is some duct tape, super glue, and it’ll be alright!!
