STONER Sun/Mon

Stayed close for a 3/4 day on Sunday. Some topwater AJ’s and then the usual suspects. Monday eased out and started with a great topwater AJ session. Then hit some super secret numbers and beat on the tuna for 3 hours. Never saw another boat. It was like a lake and flyers were trying like mad to stay in flight, to no avail. Finished off the box with a few grouper, a little bull and some other snack size critters. No bait, no trolling, no kidding.

Fun stuff right there. I’d still like to go on a tuna trip with you and Got2Go like we discussed earlier in the year. Your boat or mine, I’m always ready to go (on the weekends).

This is what a rod looks like before you start picking fiberglass out of your face, typically. If you haven’t bought new gear in 2 years you’re missing some fun…

The picture of ajs chasing that big popper is awesome. Cool trip! I’ve never tried catching ajs on topwater before. I know what I’m doing on my next trip. .
