Stono 1/12

Got to Limehouse ramp at about 9 AM with about 6 trailers parked on the far right facing the ICW. When I pulled out around 4 the lot was completely full even with the ramp being jammed up full of people pulling out for the past hour. With the new moon and the boat traffic the water was really stirred up causing some usually great spots to be barren of fish.

Regardless, it was still a successful day. Started the day looking for trout at the last of the incoming to to two hour into the outgoing. Many spots just weren’t right with big tide current and water clarity, but did find some willing to bite. Actually they were engulfing a DOA. Caught 7 up to 17" and kept 2 that will be smoked and enjoyed today as fish dip for the Pats game.

Bounced around looking for reds. I did not see any fish as opposed to last week seing them push all over the place. Frozen shrimp and a favorite dock to the rescue! 2 slot, 2 at 28" and a 30 3/4" red landed with a few missed, one pulled hook, and one leader to oyster encrusted piling incident. All tagged.

You’re a machine, dude! Good catching!

“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”

Thanks all. I’m a happy camper right now. My mom is down for a few weeks staying with my sister and the smoked trout fish dip was delicious appetizer for some of Mom’s home cooking. Best was desert; she made two cottage cheese pies (kind of like a cross between cheesecake and custard), cranberry, walnut, and celery jello mold, and peanut butter and chocolate no bake drop cookies.
