We decided to head up the stono today and run up past metal trades…wasnt as warm as they said it would be but once we got up in some creeks it was better. Started to say we were skunked…but then thought better of that. Oh…we didnt catch any fish:yawning_face:…and believe me…we tried many places…but even when you dont catch fish…as long as you bring away something when the day is at end…you really shouldnt feel like you were skunked or it was a wasted day… I guess Ive mellowed some in my old age. I love to cath fish…but nowadays…just being out there is good enough for me…and catching fish is a bonus. Yeah…it gets a little frustrating when you try everything and nothing seems to work…but that just makes you work a little harder and try to figure out what you will do “next time” We didnt leave them biting…lol…in fact …we dont know what they were doing …but they werent biting thats for sure! Did see some neat stuff…so heres a few pics of things I “caught”…on camera:smiley:
Big tides today! We got out there around 0900…and the ride was…well…
Those ridges on the back are the back bone; you see a more distinct ridge on many young turtles. If you look on the inside of a turtle carapace you can see how the spine is fused to carapace and it is all one piece. As the turtle grows the ridges moderate and mostly disappear; but again, on the inside you would still see what looks like individual vertebrae with a passage for the spinal cord.
Anyone know why that sail boat sunk except that it got to much water in it? Penny. that tatter salad looks good! I’ve been known to eat it for breakfast!
