On the water about 7:30 to catch the last 2.5 hours of the outgoing and 2.5 hours into the incoming. Second spot was my go to spot for the last few year, but had been dead slow since December. Not any more! Landed 4 and pulled off a couple before leaving them biting to find some trout. Stopped for a few minutes at another dock. I was way past the prime time for it, but spent some time talking to the dock owner. We did see a few fish there, but they were not willing. Next spot for trout; water was a little dirty. Got one strike working down the bank. Got to the end of the drift where reds like to hang and hung two, but only landed one as the second bigger one pulled loose. Back to second spot and landed three more and pulled/straighted hooks on several others. Fished a coupled more spots and picked up two more before heading back to the ramp at noon. Total of 10 reds landed. 3 mid slot and the rest from 24 to 27". The upper slot fish were really thick and very strong. I had one upper twenty inch fish come out of the water and slam a bait right under a dock. All I could do was cuss like a sailor trying to get it moved out, but ended up with a straightened hook. MM, mullet, and artificials.
