On the water by myself by 6:30; low tide was at 9:40. Started with aritificials and it was very slow. First fish was a 17" trout on a Z-man Minnowz in Houdini. Started to wonder where the reds were. Decided to catch some bait towards the low. Just before I throw the net an overslot red surfaces. Toss more artificials at them and two fish finally bolt up the river. Run to a bait spot and get some mullet and a few shrimp. Head over to my go to dock and they are all over the shrimp. Tie on a DOA and nada. Back to the bait spot and get some more shrimp and a legal crab. Back to the dock again and finish up around 11:30 tired of wrestling overslot fish from the pilings. About 10 reds total. 3 nice 20-21" slot fish and all the rest 26-27" and strong. Sacrificed 2 floats to the dock gods. Shrimp was the hot bait with 2 fish on mullet and one on crab. Reds did not like the artificials today.
