Stono - 6-26

Hit the Stono this morning for the last of the incoming and to fish a couple of hours of falling tide. Launched a litle after 9
Conditions:
Hot, hot, and more hot with plenty of humidity.
Water temp in the Stono well into the upper 80’s
Dirty and stained from all the boat traffic

First dock - nothing other than blues ripping up my soft plastics and turning mud minnows into bodyless heads.

Moved down to see if there was any action in the creek mouths. BINGO
Caught 3 flounder, 2 trout, 4 reds, countless sharks, a blue, and a stingray all from one creek mouth. Missed quite a few more and went thru about $20 in soft plastics with the blues.

Got a call from my daughter and headed up the hill at noon. Fun morning on the water.

BTW no fish spooked anywhere in shallow water. The mud flat was totally devoid of life.

hey I came up to see if you were still there when we rolled into town but you were already gone. glad to see the early half of the day wasn’t wasted.

Glad to hear you found some fish in that creek mouth. I couldn’t find anything on the incoming tide. Were they biting of the poppoing cork or on the bottom?

popping cork got everything cut in half- mud minnow or soft plastic
bottom fishing turned into hook ups
