Had a real tough time with the reds this weekend. Typical full moon pattern so they don’t want to eat during the day. Landed only one fish on Friday, a 32 incher. Today the incoming came just a little too early as we got to the spot to see reds pushing bait all over the place then they shut off as the sun came over the trees and the water was moved into the marsh. Water was dirty from all the wind. We had to work our way all the way to Metal Trades area looking for clear water to get the first fish in the boat. TROUT! Good to see they are around in decent numbers. Caught 6 with 3 keepers and one rat red. Everything released. Most came on DOA shrimp with the hot color of glow with a pink tail.
I have this coming Friday off with my son so we will either shrimp Bulls Bay or terrorize the trout in the harbor. Can’t lose either way.
